Mindelo is a lively cultural hub on São Vicente in Cape Verde that seamlessly blends African, European, and Caribbean influences in its music, cuisine, and traditions. If we find ourselves here, you may just be lucky enough to hear Mindelo’s signature live music called morna, a soulful Cape Verdean genre at local bars, restaurants, or even at beaches like Laginha Beach. Luxuriate in the true island life experience in Mindelo before we depart.

STOP 2 (OPTIONAL)
SANTO ANTAO
Another Cape Verde Island, Santo Antão offers an interesting mix of rugged landscapes, lush valleys, stunning coastal cliffs, hidden coves, pristine beaches, and beautiful rock formations along its already gorgeous coastline. Head further inland to one of its charming villages for a taste of the rich Cape Verdean culture that will take you far away from the usual hustle and bustle of your busy day-to-day life.
STOP 3
Saint BARTHÉLEMY
Saint Barthélemy, also called Saint Barts, is a glamorous destination with exquisite beaches, luxuriant landscapes, and a handful of luxury resorts. Saint Barts is a prime cruise destination not only for its resorts, but also for its hidden coves, crystal-clear waters, and unspoiled coral reefs lining the picturesque coastline. Make your way to the Capital, Gustavia, to fully experience the unique mixture of French and Caribbean cultures that define Saint Barts.

STOP 4
ANGUILLA
Nestled deep within the Caribbean, Anguilla is a captivating destination considered by many sailing enthusiasts to be a haven for its steady winds and near perpetual ideal sailing conditions. The exquisite coast is lined with hidden coves, vibrant coral reefs, and inviting anchorages just waiting to be discovered. Anguilla is also home to exquisite beaches that are perfect for relaxation and water sports alike.

ARRIVAL
TORTOLA
Our long voyage comes to an end on Tortola, the largest of the British Virgin Islands. We begin the day on Cane Garden Bay to take in the view consisting of picturesque sandy beaches and azure waters. Then we can make a pit stop at Sebastian’s on the beach for lunch and a quintessential glass of Caribbean rum punch. Or we can also delve into the rich history of Tortola at the Callwood Rum Distillery, the oldest distillery in the entire Caribbean.

OVERVIEW
THE ROUTE
As we depart from Tenerife, we turn our sails westward to take full advantage of the trade winds. However, depending on wind directions and weather forecast, we can elect to either take a more direct route or take a detour to the south for a stopover in Cabo Verde. Overall, we would sail somewhere around 2,900 - 3,200 nautical miles.
